After Grammy nominee Kehlani Parrish hinted that she attempted suicide Monday, gospel singer Erica Campbell reached out to encourage the young singer and let her know that God still has more work for her to do.
Parrish reportedly made her unsuccessful attempt to end her life after rumors hit the news that she cheated on her boyfriend, NBA player Kyrie Irving. Her alleged attempted suicide made headlines after 20-year-old “Did I” singer shared a photo of herself with an IV in her arm in a hospital bed in an Instagram post that has since been deleted.
“Today I wanted to leave this Earth,” Parrish captioned the photo. “Being completely selfish for once. Never thought I’d get to such a low point. Don’t believe the blogs you read. … No one was cheated on and I’m not a bad person. … Everyone is hurt and everyone is in a place of misunderstanding. … But as of today, I had no single wish to see tomorrow. … But God saved me for a reason, and for that I must be grateful. Cuz I’m not in Heaven right now for a reason. On that note, bye Instagram.”
