Two men died when their cars collided head-on in a Saturday afternoon crash in East Cleveland.

The Cleveland Metro Highway Patrol reports that 23-year-old James Smith was driving south on Noble Road at 4:20 p.m. His car traveled left of the center of the road and hit a car being driven north by 56-year-old Hollis Crump, of Cleveland. Crump died of his injuries at the scene. Smith was taken to University Hospital, where he died Sunday.

It isn’t known if either man was wearing a seat belt, and the patrol is still investigating the crash, which closed Noble Road for about three hours.
