NASA’s Glenn Research Center hosted the fifth annual International Space Apps Challenge, a global, mass collaboration event that gathers volunteer participants to work on specific NASA challenges.

Participants are asked to develop mobile applications, software, and hardware solutions that could contribute to space exploration missions and help improve life on Earth.

Herb Schilling is a NASA Glenn computer scientist that helped local teams development their projects. “Why not take the collective power of the entire word and let them have at it at these challenges. Maybe they can come up with sometime different and unique that we can make use of,” remarked Schilling.
