The cast of Broadway’s The Color Purple has reason to celebrate today.

The musical, as well as its star, Cynthia Erivo, received Tony nominations—revealed on NBC’S TODAY, where the cast performed the production’s title song.

The Color Purple was nominated for “Best Revival of a Musical” and Erivo got a nod for “Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical.”

When TODAY co-host Matt Lauer asked the 29-year-old British performer how it feels to be nominated for her Broadway debut, she said, “I think I’m still processing it. It feels kind of awesome. I’m sort of in disbelief, really and like, completely flabbergasted, and overwhelmed, and just really pleased.”

The musical opened in December at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre and instantly received rave reviews.
