The Cleveland Cavaliers converted their three-point attempts early and often against the Atlanta Hawks in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, and rode that momentum to a 123-98 victory in front of the home fans at Quicken Loans Arena Wednesday night.

By breaking an NBA single-game record (regular season or playoffs) with 25 three-pointers, the Cavaliers take a 2-0 series lead, into Atlanta for their Game 3 matchup at Philips Arena Friday night.

Shooting guard J.R. Smith led the three-point parade by knocking down seven of his 13 looks from long distance on the way to 23 points, while small forward LeBron James and point guard Kyrie Irving each buried four triples of their own in the victory. James led all scorers with 27 points and Irving added 19.
