Students from Cuyahoga Community College’s robotics team became the first Ohio team to win the FIRST Robotics Competition Championship, competing against more than 75,000 high students.
The students, who are part of Youth Technology Academy that trains high school students for the technical workforce, competed in St. Louis for their championship match Saturday night.
“This was a phenomenal ending to a fantastic robotics season,” said George Bilokonsky, executive director of Tri-C’s Youth Technology Academy (YTA). “We are extraordinarily proud and truly inspired by these bright and talented students who worked so hard to triumph.”
