EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio– They are accused in the shooting death of a Ginn Academy high school student at a gas station. Monday, they made their first court appearance, answering to charges of felony, first degree aggravated murder.

Dontez Long, the suspected gunman, and his alleged accomplice, Alonzo Patterson, were led into an East Cleveland courtroom in handcuffs and said very little before Judge William Dawson.

Long is accused of shooting Diamond Russell last Wednesday, outside the shell gas station at Euclid and Superior avenues.
