A Tennessee high school principal is grabbing headlines for her epic clap-back on behalf of one of her students whose life was lost due to gun violence.

After the decision to allow 18-year-old Myneshia Johnson’s one-year-old son, Kylan, to accept his deceased mom’s diploma was criticized, Principal Alisha Coleman-Kiner went in.

Here’s what happened.

Johnson, a student at Booker T. Washington School, was fatally shot in downtown Memphis early Sunday morning by Kwasi Corbin, who randomly fired into a crowd with an assault rifle. Though the turn of events was tragic, one woman sent an unsupportive email to Principal Coleman-Kiner.
