A church community is in mourning after an associate pastor was gunned down on Friday morning.
Latrina Ashburne was getting out of her car when she was approached by a man, and police say that she was gunned down when she tried to run away from the suspect
On Sunday, the community collectively mourned the loss of Ashburne, who was a teacher’s aide at Francis Scott Key Elementary and an associate pastor at Kingdom Restoration church.
“It’s hard, it’s hard, because for someone to just take a life, and someone in the community, a law abiding upstanding citizen in the community, we just don’t understand why,” said Pastor Christian Hall, Kingdom Restoration Center.
