In the lead-up to Game 1 of the NBA Finals, the Cleveland Cavaliers answered a multitude of questions about how they intended to stop two-time MVP Stephen Curry and hot-shooting guard Klay Thompson from wreaking havoc on their defense.

Now, the Cavaliers must wonder how to stop everyone not named Curry and Thompson, as the Golden State Warriors got just 20 points from their starting backcourt, but still earned a 104-89 win in Game 1 of the best-of-seven series at Oracle Arena in Oakland, California, Thursday night.

Off the bench, small forward Andre Iguodala, point guard Shaun Livingston and shooting guard Leandro Barbosa combined to score 43 points, while the Cavaliers’ reserves, who had been solid throughout the first three rounds of the postseason, accounted for just 10 markers in the setback. Also, the Cavaliers committed an uncharacteristic 17 turnovers, which led to 25 points for Golden State in the Game 1 loss.
