Donnell Lindsey, the man accused of killing 3-year-old Major Howard, entered a not guilty plea during a brief court appearance Tuesday morning.

The judge then set bond at $5 million and issued a no-contact order between Lindsey and the victim’s family.

He will be back in court for his first pre-trial on Tuesday, June 14 at 9 a.m.

Lindsey, 23, was arrested near Atlanta last month.

Authorities alleged Lindsey killed the child while shooting into a vehicle in the area of 3400 East 113th St. on Sept. 15, 2015.

The boy was shot in the chest and later died at MetroHealth Medical Center.
