Wolves, birds, meerkats, snails and frogs — nothing says welcome to Cleveland like 378 larger-than-life colorful plastic critters popping up in Cleveland.

The critters are the creation of the Italian art collective Cracking Art Group. The group aims to spread social and environmental awareness.

It’s part of a generous $1.5 million grant to LAND Studio, a Cleveland non-profit developer from the Char and Chuck Fowler Family Foundation. The grant is expected to fun large scale temporary installations over the next three years.

LAND studio Project Director, Nancy Boyland said enjoy the artwork. “Come out and enjoy. Have fun. Bring out that inner child in you. Enjoy life,” Boyland said.
