Cavaliers Win NBA Championship:

History has been made.

The Cleveland Cavaliers won the NBA Finals, defeating the Golden State Warriors 93-89 in Sunday’s deciding Game 7.
This is the first major sports championship that a Cleveland team has won since 1964.
In perhaps the biggest game of his career, LeBron James had the game of his life.
James was named Finals MVP after scoring 27 points, 11 rebounds and dishing out 11 assists.

Deadly Heat Wave Hits Southwest U.S.:

A lethal, record-setting heat wave has hit the southwestern United States.

So far four people have been killed in Arizona.
At least three large wildfires are burning in the region, covering an area larger than Paris.
And over 30 million people are under heat warnings or advisories.
It’s the hottest start to summer ever in three states — California, New Mexico and Arizona — according to CNN Meteorologist Pedram Javaheri.
And Monday could see even more record-high temperatures.

ISIS Threat To U.S. Air Bases:

ISIS has collected information on 77 U.S. and NATO air force facilities around the world and is calling on supporters to attack them, according to South Korea’s intelligence agency.

The terror group has also released information on individuals in 21 countries, including the personal details of one employee of a South Korean welfare organization, the National Intelligence Service (NIS) said in a statement Sunday.
That person is now under protection, the agency said.
The NIS says ISIS’ hacking organization, the United Cyber Caliphate, collected details of U.S. air force units in South Korea including Osan Air Base, and addresses and Google satellite maps have been released through the Telegram messaging service.

Japanese Woman’s Murder Provokes Huge Protest Against U.S. Bases:

Tens of thousands of people have demanded an end to the United States’ military presence on the Japanese island of Okinawa following the killing of a local woman.

Kenneth Franklin Shinzato, a 32-year-old civilian worker who was stationed at the U.S. Kadena Air Base, was last month arrested on suspicion of murdering the 20 year old and abandoning her body.
In an emotional letter read out during a march on the island Sunday, the victim’s father said, for the local people’s protection, all United States military bases on Japan’s Okinawa prefecture had to go.
