The American Red Cross moved swiftly amid a social media storm over a pool safety poster some found racist.

The poster of pool safety rules, above, shared by John Sawyer of Washington, shows “cool” and “not cool” summertime behavior. “Not cool” conduct includes pushing people into the pool or diving in too close to other swimmers. Most of the “not cool” violators appear to be children of color (they’re rendered as cartoons).
