Dangerous heat is on tap for the region through Saturday.

The National Weather Service has issued a HEAT ADVISORY from 11 am Friday through 9 pm Saturday for heat indexes (or the way it really feels of 100 to 104 degrees).

The advisory includes all counties from all from the Indiana border to the Cleveland and Akron area.

Actual air temperatures will be in the low to mid 90s, but the humidity will make it feel much hotter than it really is.

There is a high risk of heat related illnesses for people with prolonged outdoor exposure, or to those without air conditioning.

The elderly, small children and outdoor pets are especially susceptible to to the heat. Be sure to provide plenty of water to pets.
