The Cleveland Browns had plenty of distractions over the last two seasons, and those off-the-field issues directly contributed to a lack of success on Sundays in the fall.

Instead of addressing an upcoming game or a key opposing player, the Browns’ coaching staff and front office dedicated plenty of time in press conferences to the escapades of a former quarterback that required NFL and police investigations, as well as post on social media accounts and suspensions to talented athletes.

Prior to the start of training camp, owners Jimmy and Dee Haslam were invited to address the team by new head coach Hue Jackson, and the message was clear: clean up the distractions that could derail this team and be focused on the task at hand
