CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) – The 2016 World Yo-Yo Contest is coming to Cleveland.
According to the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission, the event that will bring $1.5 million to the regional economy.
The event will take place August 3-6, 2016 at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel.
“It’s an honor for Cleveland and the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission to land this unique event,” said Jeff Pacini, Greater Cleveland Sports Commission Vice President of Business Development. “We are excited to showcase the sport of yo-yo’s top competitors and provide a substantial $1.5 million boost to the economy.”
The 2016 World Yo-Yo Contest will feature over 1,000 competitors from more than 30 countries competing for $10,000 in cash prizes.
