A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday (August 15) at University Circle United Methodist Church at 1919 E. 107th Street in Cleveland.
LaTourette, 62, had been battling pancreatic cancer over the year. In a WKYC interview with Congressman LaTourette in March, he told WKYC that he was feeling good and continues to fight.
A Republican, he was the representative for Ohio’s 14th congressional district from 2003 to 2012. He was a representative for Ohio’s 19th congressional district from 1995 to 2002.
He endorsed John Kasich instead of backing the front-runner Donald Trump.
LaTourette did not seek re-election in 2012 because of frustrations he had with Congress.
