Cleveland Indians’ outfielder Michael Brantley underwent surgery on his right shoulder Monday.
According to the team, the 45-minute procedure to address chronic biceps tendinitis took place in Dallas.
The team says doctors confirmed that Brantley’s previous labrum repair was intact and the remainder of his shoulder joint appeared to be in good shape.
Brantley is expected to recover in four months.
The surgery comes days after the team announced Brantley would be shut down for the season.
