The Cleveland Indians will donate to the Puritas Baseball League after a thief stole food, candy and baseballs from the league’s office and concession stand earlier this week.

One of the Indians mascots will head to Maplewood Diamonds Thursday at 5 p.m. to donate money and equipment to the league.

Workers said the robbers stole money from the cash register and vandalized the property on Monday.

About 10 dozen brand new, unused baseballs were stolen during the robbery.

MattĀ Kata, manager of youth baseballĀ development for the Indians, will also be in attendance during the donation Thursday.
