While the area outside the Great Lakes Science Center is a popular destination for Pokémon Go players, the Center is inviting players inside to their Pokémon-a-Thon event this Saturday.
On Saturday, September 17, the Science Center will have a family-friendly day of catching Pokémon while learning the science behind virtual reality, trajectory, medical science and more. There will be special activities from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. included with general admission including:
- Evolve Cart – learn how to gain energy that can be used to evolve by completing a circuit.
- Poké-battle demo – learn the science behind what allows certain Pokémon to beat others in a battle
- Gotcha! Demo – Watch a life-sized demonstration that explains the usage of trajectory and angles in Pokémon Go!
- Healing Station – Learn more in the BioMedTech Gallery to learn about the science behind your health.
