The Cleveland Browns have signed quarterback Charlie Whitehurst, Pro Football Talk reports.
Whitehurst’s agent reportedly tweeted the signing Monday night.
The signing comes after Robert Griffin III and Josh McCown both suffered shoulder injuries in the first and second games of the season.
Whitehurst was the San Diego Chargers’ third round pick in 2006. He’s made nine career starts and thrown 10 career touchdowns and seven interceptions with five different teams.
