A woman and her daughter were fatally struck by a car being driven by a 53-year-old man in Garfield Heights Saturday evening.
UPDATE: Her 7-year-old daughter witnessed the accident.
Police said alcohol and drugs are not suspected at this time. The accident happened at the intersection of East 131st Street and Rexwood Avenue at 6:33 p.m. Saturday.
Both victims — 33-year-old Tiffany Montgomery and her 5-year-old daughter — were transported to the hospital where they died.
The crash remains under investigation.
