A Cleveland police officer shot an 18-year-old man early Friday morning.

Officers were called to First Energy sub center, located at 4295 East 146th at 2 a.m. for people trespassing. As officers arrived, they encountered a group of males, according to a police news release.

The men and the officers exchanged gunfire. One of the males were shot in the shoulder and was taken to University Hospital to be treated for his injuries. Three of the men ran away from the scene but were later captured. Two of the males arrested were 17  years old and the other is an adult. One male remains on the loose.

It was unclear which of the men shot at police or how many shots were fired.
