It’s the first weekend in December and you may not want to spend the entire time shopping. Check out where you can go to have some fun and most that are completely free! This may be the perfect weekend to check out those lighting displays.
23rd Annual Holiday CircleFest in University Circle
What: You can enjoy more than a dozen of the University Circle museums, galleries gardens and more for FREE on Sunday Dec. 4. There are also free horse-drawn carriage rides, ice-carving demonstrations and live music around the circle. Some of Cleveland’s favorite food trucks will be there to keep you from getting hungry!
Where: Wade Oval and all of University Circle, 10820 East Boulevard in Cleveland
When: 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday Dec. 4
(1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. activities at University Circle institutions; Noon to 7 p.m. ice skating on The Rink at Wade Oval; and 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. is the Cleveland Museum of Art’s Winter Lights Lantern Procession)

Wild Lights at the Akron Zoo
What: It’s BACK! After a hiatus of 16 years, almost the entire Akron Zoo will be lit up with lighted animal displays and holiday displays. Check out the Zoo’s carousel, visit with Santa Claus and there’s even a s’mores station!
Where: The Akron Zoo, 500 Edgewood Avenue in Akron
When: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in December
