Christian Cuevas had Christ-followers everywhere rejoicing over his performance on NBC’s singing competition, “The Voice.”
Though he didn’t make the final four, his rendition of the worship anthem “To Worship You I Live,” popularized by Israel Houghton and New Breed, is sure to make a lasting impression.
The Orlando, Florida singer, who was selected by Alicia Keys to be part of her team, was backed by a white-robed chorus as he glorified God on stage before millions.
Cuevas’ “To Worship You I Live” went to No. 6 on the top 100 iTunes songs chart.
“I felt God placed me here,” said Cuevas, who was praised by popular Bible teacher and New York Times best-selling author Priscilla Shirer for acknowledging his faith through song so publicly.
“Bravo,” wrote Shirer on Twitter. “Chills. Thx for lifting Jesus w/o apology on #NBCTheVoice!” She then added, “”I am not ashamed of the gospel….” referencing Romans 1:16.
