A chaotic scene was captured on video as people ran through Beachwood Place mall Monday in what has been labeled as a “large-scale disturbance.”

Beachwood Police say sizable groups of juveniles began causing trouble shortly after 6:30 p.m.

Authorities say it appears the disturbance may have been loosely organized on social media as malls throughout the country suffered similar situations.

Officers and mall security removed the juveniles from the mall.

Nobody was hurt, but one boy was arrested for allegedly attempting to strike an officer who was dealing with another disorderly person.

Reports of shots being fired are false, police say.

The mall was temporarily closed after the incident, but re-opened later in the evening. The mall will be open with normal business hours Tuesday.
