Megyn Kelly Leaving Fox News For NBC News:

Megyn Kelly wanted out of Fox News.

On Tuesday she stunned the television news world by defecting from Fox, her TV home for the past decade, and joining NBC News.

Later this year Kelly will start hosting a daytime news program on weekdays and a prime time program on Sundays, both on the NBC network.

Kelly will only be on Fox for a few more days. She will sign off her 9 p.m. show, “The Kelly File,” on Friday night.

The move will be perceived in the industry as a coup for NBC and a blow to Fox. In the past couple years, Kelly has become one of the biggest stars on television as she defied expectations and tangled with Donald Trump.

Bolstered by Bill O’Reilly’s 8 p.m. show, Kelly at 9 p.m. had the second-most watched news program on all of cable news.

Kelly’s contract was coming due in July, which meant her future was the topic of constant speculation in the TV industry.

Republicans Already Jittery About Quick Obamacare Repeal:

Republicans are just getting started on their years-long dream of repealing Obamacare, and already, there are fears that things are moving too fast.

Some Republicans are cautioning against repealing the Affordable Care Act too quickly and urging the party take the foot off the accelerator. The reason: there’s no plan on how to replace what they roll back. And while GOP lawmakers are eager to please their base with headlines of Obamacare’s repeal, they don’t want to be blamed for leaving people without health insurance and chaos in the healthcare market.
Sen. John McCain told reporters Tuesday that he supports taking a slower approach to repealing the law, saying he is “always worried about something that took a long time in the making and we’ve got to concentrate our efforts to making sure that we do it right so that nobody’s left out.”

Janet Jackson Welcomes A Son:

Janet Jackson has given birth to a baby boy, according to a representative for the pop superstar.

Jackson, 50, and her husband, Wissam Al Mana, welcomed their first child, named Eissa, on Tuesday.
“Janet had a stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably,” said the rep for the singer.
In April, Jackson announced that she was postponing her tour amid speculation that she was pregnant.
“I thought it was important that you be the first to know,” she said in a video circulated to fans via social media. “My husband and I are planning our family, so I’m going to have to delay the tour.”
Jackson then went under the radar, though she was spotted shopping in September and appeared to be pregnant in photos published by “Entertainment Tonight.”

Ivanka Trump Settles On DC Home:

Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner have settled on a property in Washington, DC.

Washington Fine Properties’ William F. X. Moody, who assisted with the transaction, confirmed the move to CNN Tuesday, though he wouldn’t say if it was a purchase or a rental.
The Washingtonian, which first reported the move, said the family will move into DC’s tony Kalorama neighborhood in a six-bedroom home. The Obama’s rental house is located on Belmont Road in the Kalorama neighborhood.

Trump Derides Intel Briefing On ‘So-Called’ Russian Hacking:

President-elect Donald Trump took to Twitter Tuesday evening to deride the US intelligence agencies due to brief him on alleged Russian hacking of American political groups.

It was his latest attack on a key body he will rely on as commander in chief and again put him at odds with the agencies’ unanimous conclusion that Russia hacked Democratic Party groups and individuals to interfere in the US presidential election.
Trump suggested that intelligence officials postponed an ” ‘intelligence’ briefing on so-called ‘Russian hacking’ ” that they were set to deliver to him this week because they might need more time “to build a case.” He called the alleged delay “very strange.”
