Guilt can be a hard thing to shake, but today we are letting it go! You were not freed from bondage so that the recollection of those struggles could bind you.

Here are 5 scriptures to eliminate the guilt and shame you feel when you remember faults of the past:

#1) Romans 8:1 (NIV)- “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Stop walking around as if you have a sack of sins slung over your shoulder. Your faith has set you free! God gave His Son as the ultimate sacrifice for your shortcomings; the moment you repented, you were made exempt from judgement.

#2) Isaiah 1:18 (NIV)- “‘Come now, let us settle the matter,’ says the LORD. ‘Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.’”

God has seen your broken spirit, heard your confession, and forgiven your fault. The matter has been settled; you are free, so live like it.

#3) 2 Corinthians 5:17 (ESV)- “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

Anything you may have done wrong before can have no negative spiritual effect on you now. Christ’s blood has covered every transgression and you are no longer the same person you once were. His grace has transformed you.
