Evacuations Ordered Over Concerns At California Dam System:

At least 188,000 people have evacuated from several Northern California counties after damage to a spillway at the Oroville Dam.

The dam, which is the nation’s tallest, remains intact. But the emergency spillway, which guards against the overflow of the dam when water levels are high, was eroding Sunday.
The damage prompted a mandatory evacuation for cities and counties near Lake Oroville. In the worst case scenario, one official said, an uncontrolled release from the dam could send a 30-foot wall of water downstream.

“I’m not going to lift the evacuation order until I have a better idea of what that means and what risk that poses,” Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea said in a news conference late Sunday night.
Officials are waiting until daylight Monday to better assess the situation and decide when it’s safe for residents to return, Honea said.

Adele swept the top honors at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards, but the night was shared with Beyoncé.

Adele went home with five total awards, including album of the year for “25.”
Beyoncé won two, including best music video for “Formation” and best urban contemporary album for “Lemonade.”
The two superstars each provided stellar performances.
Beyoncé, who recently announced she’s expecting twins, reminded everyone why her nickname is Queen Bey with a powerful medley of “Love Drought” and “Sandcastles.” The nine-minute set was a celebration of women and motherhood.

Trump Won’t Immediately Appeal Travel Ban Halt To Supreme Court:

The Trump administration will not immediately appeal the decision blocking its travel ban to the Supreme Court, a source familiar with the matter tells CNN.

The decision to not go to the Supreme Court comes as the White House is examining several options to save President Donald Trump’s controversial executive order on immigration.
“We will win that battle. The unfortunate part is that it takes time statutorily, but we will win that battle. We also have a lot of other options, including just filing a brand new order,” Trump told reporters onboard Air Force One Friday evening.

Flynn On Thin Ice But Still In At The White House:

Michael Flynn has no plans to resign and no expectations that he will be fired, a senior administration official told CNN Sunday.

That’s despite a turbulent 72 hours caused by the national security adviser’s inability to deny that he spoke about sanctions against Russia with the Russian ambassador before President Donald Trump took office.
While Flynn may have no plans to leave the White House, many inside the Trump administration are concerned with the fact that the national security adviser could have misled senior members of the White House, including Vice President Mike Pence, who went on national television and denied that Flynn spoke about sanctions with Sergey Kislyak, Russian ambassador to Washington.
