April 4, 2017 marks the 49th year since Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was shot and killed at the Lorraine motel in Memphis, Tenn.
The civil rights leader, and his legacy will be commemorated at a special honor ceremony in Mobile. The group, People United to Advance the Dream, is hosting the event, with an emphasis on finding a resolution to violence in America.
