Egypt Declares State of Emergency After Palm Sunday Church Bombings:

A day after brazen ISIS attacks killed dozens at two Coptic Christian churches on Palm Sunday, Egypt declared a three-month state of emergency, a measure designed to help authorities root out the killers.

A stunned nation watched funerals for victims of the bombings on national TV and citizens raised questions about what some consider lax security at churches.

The strikes, which targeted the Egypt’s persecuted and vulnerable Christian minority on the first day of the faith’s Holy Week leading up to Easter, left at least 49 dead, state TV said Monday.

As Trump grew frustrated with the clear tensions between Bannon and Kushner, his ascendant senior adviser, he insisted they work out their differences.

Sergio Garcia has finally won his first major title after taking home the 2017 Masters championship on Sunday at Augusta National Golf Club.

The Spanish star was tied with Justin Rose after 72 holes at nine strokes under par, forcing a sudden-death playoff. After Rose bogeyed the 19th hole of the day, Garcia birdied to end what had become a trend of disappointments in golf’s biggest events.

With Lent Almost Over, Here’s Why Most Religions Fast:

If you’ve been fighting off urges to reach for chocolate, alcohol or anything else you’ve given up for the last several weeks, take solace that — for many practicing Christians — this is the home stretch.

Easter is right around the corner, and the end of Lent abstinence and fasting is in sight.
If it helps, know that many others feel your pain — and not just fellow Christians.
What you may not know is nearly all modern religions have fasting traditions.
