Many times, in the war against sin, people get caught in the crossfire. Some of us are so overzealous about eradicating sin, which we don’t even have the power to do, that we destroy people in the process

If you want to be an effective witness, scaring people by warning them 24/7 that they’re going to hell and God is not pleased, is not the way to go. This method will not necessarily compel them to change their ways.

The Bible says, “With lovingkindness have I drawn thee” (Jeremiah 31:3, KJV). If you want to reach the lost, you can do it with the proper approach.

Let’s examine Hebrews 12:14 (KJV) together. It is Empowering Everyday Women Ministries’ verse of the day.

Part 1.) “Follow peace with all men.”

Some Christians think that being holy comes at the expense of being kind, and vice versa. Not so! The fruit of the Spirit is kindness (Galatians 5:22). Christians are to live at peace with everyone—not just those in the body of Christ. Please realize that establishing a peaceful environment is not attained by looking at someone funny because they don’t live right, or commenting disdainfully on what they’re doing wrong every chance you get.

Be like Jesus; He came not to condemn the world, but to save it (John 3:17). A kind disposition and friendly spirit is not reserved for those in the church. It is also for those outside the four walls who may be learning all they know about God through the way you live and treat others.
