It’s the Memorial Day weekend and most communities have their own parades.
Most are family friendly. Check out some of the activities below.
Lake View Cemetery Memorial Day Celebration
What: The event takes place at the Garfield Memorial and includes a parade and a Sousa band concert. You should bring your lawn chairs and a picnic!

61st annual Blossom Time Festival
What: The Chagrin Valley Jaycees present their 61st annual Blossom Time. This year’s theme is “Welcome to the Jungle.” There are carnival rides, hot air balloon launches and races, a Thursday night “Balloon Glow” at Chagrin Falls High School, a Sunday walk and fitness run and a Sunday 2 p.m. parade along East Washington Street.

When: May 25-May 28
Green Memorial Day parade, pancake breakfast and car show
What: Free pancake breakfast 7-9 a.m. at Fire Station No. 1 at 4200 Massillon Road (donations accepted for a local charity. The 10 a.m. parade follows with a ceremony at noon at Veterans Memorial Park, followed by the annual car show and community picnic from 12:30 p.m to 3 p.m.
