North Korea Tests Missile It Claims Can Reach ‘Anywhere In The World’:

North Korea claims to have conducted its first successful test of a long-range missile that it says can “reach anywhere in the world.”

Tuesday morning’s missile test, which was conducted on the orders of the country’s leader, Kim Jong Un, reached a height of 2,802 kilometers (1741 miles), according to state broadcaster Korea Central Television (KCTV).

That’s the highest ever altitude reached by a North Korean missile, and puts the US on notice that Pyongyang could potentially hit the US mainland.
The regime appears to have timed the launch for maximum political effect, giving the order to fire on the eve of the July 4 holiday, just days after US President Donald Trump spoke with Japanese and Chinese leaders about the North Korea threat and before this week’s G20 meeting.

Maria Menounos is stepping down as co-anchor of E! News in the wake of surgery to remove a brain tumor, the network said Monday.

The annoucement came the same day Menounos revealed in a People magazine cover story that she recently underwent surgery for a golf ball-size meningioma brain tumor.

Jay-Z’s ‘4:44’ Is Even Better Than You Thought:

We can thank Beyoncé for Jay-Z’s new album in more ways than one.

Not only does “4:44” contain lyrics that address the rumors of infidelity that Beyoncé raised in her visual album “Lemonade,” but, according to Jay-Z’s producer, Queen Bey was directly involved.
“I always call Bey our de facto A&R,” producer No I.D. told The New York Times in a Q&A published over the weekend. “Pillow talk is the strongest conversation on the planet. Every song has to get past her ears, in my eyes.” A record label’s A&R division is responsible for developing an artist once they’re signed.

Black Valedictorian Forced To Share Honor With White Student, Lawsuit Says:

The black valedictorian of a Mississippi high school was forced to share her graduating class’s top honor with a white student who had a lower grade-point average, the woman’s mother says in a federal lawsuit.

The allegation comes months after the Cleveland School District settled a 52-year-old lawsuit demanding that it desegregate its schools.
Sherry Shepard noted the settlement in the lawsuit filed last week, which alleges that her daughter, Jasmine, had to unfairly share the 2016 Cleveland High School valedictorian honors.
She further claims that Jasmine Shepard was the first black valedictorian in Cleveland High’s 110-year history. The other 109 were white, Sherry Shepard alleged.
