“Music is about passion when you hear a song that touches your heart, that’s it,” said Jazzy Jordan of Verity Records.

That is just what Marvin Sapp did in 2007 with the release of ‘Never Would Have Made It.’

Sapp’s dad passed away in 2006 and that same weekend he returned to church. During praise and worship those words just came from his heart and out his mouth.

It was the first single released from his album ‘Thirsty.’

Songwriter/producer Aaron Lindsey said, “When I tell you I got goose bumps going down my shoulders and my back. Then singers began to cry and the musicians got involved, it was a day I’ll never forget.”

Unsung Marvin Sapp- The Story Behind ‘Never Would Have Made It” premieres this Sunday at 10/9c on TV One.
