Being the son of a teacher who once used her own money to buy classroom materials for her students, rapper Common showed his gratitude by donating $10,000 to the Renaissance School of the Arts in Harlem.
The money will go to help their teachers buy supplies like science kits and calculators.
Students cheered loudly after they learned the musician was at their school
