Melania Trump Responds To Ivana Trump Calling Herself ‘First Lady’:

President Donald Trump’s first wife, Ivana Trump, called herself “first lady” in an interview Monday ahead of the release of her memoir, “Raising Trump.” Now his current wife, first lady Melania Trump, is firing back, slamming her comments as “attention-seeking and self-serving noise.”

Trump boasted of having the “direct number” to her ex-husband at the White House, telling ABC News she talks to the President about once every 14 days.

“I have the direct number to White House but I don’t really want to call him there because Melania is there and I don’t really want to cause any kind of jealousy or something like that because I’m basically first Trump wife, OK? I’m first lady, OK?” she told ABC, laughing.

NFL Owners To Consider Rule Change For Conduct During National Anthem:

National Football League owners are planning to review a policy that requires all players to stand for the United States national anthem during their fall meeting next week.

On Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported the “owners will consider a rule change” amid a polarized debate surrounding those who’ve knelt during the anthem to make a statement about social injustice. Nicki Jhabvala of the Denver Post passed along comments about the issue from NFL spokesperson Joe Lockhart:

Harvey Weinstein’s Wife Announces She Is Leaving Him:

As allegations of rape, abuse, and other forms of sexual misconduct against him mount, Harvey Weinstein’s wife of a decade has announced she’s leaving him.

Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman told People magazine in a statement on Tuesday that she was separating from Weinstein with whom she shares two young children.
“My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered tremendous pain because of these unforgivable actions,” the statement read. “I have chosen to leave my husband. Caring for my young children is my first priority and I ask the media for privacy at this time.”
Chapman has not responded to CNN requests for comment.

US Fails To Reach 2018 World Cup:

For the first time since 1986, the US Men’s National Team will be watching the World Cup from home.

Falling 2-1 to Trinidad and Tobago, the US failed to qualify for Russia 2018. An early own-goal from Omar Gonzalez set the tone for the defeat, before Alvin Jones doubled the Trinidad and Tobago lead on 37 minutes.
Despite a fightback, which included a goal straight after the half-time break from 19-year-oldChristian Pulisic, American hearts were to be broken, with the defeat plunging the Americans into fifth place in the CONCACAF table.

Radio Host Delilah Taking A Leave From Her Show Following Son’s Suicide:

Popular syndicated-radio host Delilah Rene will temporarily stop doing her show in the wake of her son’s suicide.

A spokesperson for Premiere Networks, which syndicates Rene’s show through iHeartMedia, confirmed to CNN that she is on hiatus and pointed to a statement Rene posted over the weekend.
“My dear friends, I need to share some devastating news with you,” she wrote. On Monday, October 2, my son, Zachariah, took his life.”
