The Museum of the Bible is prepping to open its doors this weekend in Washington, D.C.

According to reports, ancient scripts and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Nobel Lecture, which references the Bible will be on display at the $500 million structure, when it opens this weekend in D.C.

“The Bible tells the thrilling story of how Moses stood in Pharaoh’s court centuries ago and cried, ‘Let my people go.’

Throughout his lecture, Martin Luther King Jr. referenced the Bible numerous times, including references to passages in Genesis, Exodus, Hebrews, 1st John and the Psalms. He concluded with these words:

“In a dark confused world the kingdom of God may yet reign in the hearts of men!”

The Museum of the Bible has been seven years in the making and is the brainchild of Hobby Lobby president Steve Green
