A 3-year-old was listed in critical condition on Friday after being hit by a car. He was released from the hospital Sunday evening. He’s doing well, but the person responsible still hasn’t been caught.

Three-year-old Caesar suffered a concussion, scrapes and bruises to his face, knees and hands as well as collar bone fractures.

“It was just really, really scary. It was like the worst day of my life,” said his mom Christina Sanders.

Sanders says Caesar was holding his older cousin’s hand across the street from where she was getting into her car in the area of East 140th and Kinsman. The energetic 3-year-old broke free and ran right toward his mother and into the street. Sanders ran toward him and saw a car approaching out of the corner of her eye.
