Since allegations about The Harvey Weinstein scandal have been released, it has sparked a lot of conversation. Harvey Weinstein is an American film producer and former film executive. He and his brother Bob co-founded Miramax. One incident with Weinstein was with Filipina-Italian model Ambra Battilana Gutierrez.  In exchange for a million-dollar payment from Weinstein, Gutierrez would agree never to talk publicly about an incident during which Weinstein groped her breasts and tried to stick his hand up her skirt.

But Weinstein is not the only one in Hollywood; over 56 other men in Hollywood have also been accused of sexual harassment.

In response, First Lady Michele Obama recently spoke out and said all of the stories have made her “sick.”

“I can’t tell you how sick it makes me, the more I see the uncovering of the truth that all us women know has been out there, that there is an ugliness there,“ she said during a speech in Connecticut. “If we want young women to be strong and have voices and advocate for themselves, then we have to realize how much work we have to do.”

During her speech, she made it clear that this speech wasn’t just directed at women. It was direct to men also.  She stated that men can not just be innocent bystanders and complacent and be allowing this to happen.

She continued to say that “I was one of the lucky ones. I am what it looks like when a girl is loved and nurtured and invested [in.]”
