God has called you to do great things for the Kingdom, so what’s holding you back?

Here are 8 things you need to overcome in order to follow God’s will for your life, along with scriptures

to help you do just that!

1. Unforgiveness. Not only does unforgiveness make you bitter, but it also damages your

relationship with God. A grudge prevents your prayers from being answered. Mark 11:25 (NIV) says,

“And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father

in heaven may forgive you your sins.”

2. Impatience. Things may not be progressing as quickly as you would like for them to, but if you get

ahead of God’s timing, you’ll mess up. So be patient and trust the Lord. As Peter 3:9 (NIV) says, “The

Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness…” Finally, I leave you with

Habakkuk 2:3 (ESV), “For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie.

If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.”

3. Procrastination. Now, if you have the go-ahead from God, don’t put off your destiny while claiming

you’re just “waiting for the right time.” Life is too short for “later.” Psalms 119:60 (NLT) says, “I will

hurry, without delay, to obey your commands.”
