Power was restored to nearly 40,000 on Cleveland’s West side around 9 p.m.

According to Cleveland Public Power has been restored to the majority of the west side.

CPP says it was a blown transformer resulting in a minor fire that caused the outage.

The outage was wide spread, impacting individuals in Old Brooklyn, Tremont, Battery Park and the Flats neighborhoods.

The outage lasted more than three hours, Tuesday.
