Paul Bergen/RedfernsMusic legend and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Tina Turner will be honored with a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award this summer.

A special awards ceremony and concert to celebrate Tina, along with other honorees including British rockers Queen, country icon Emmylou Harris, New Orleans funk group The Meters, and legendary studio musician Hal Blaine, will also take place.

In a statement, Recording Academy president and CEO Neil Portnow said, “These exceptionally inspiring figures are being honored as legendary performers, creative architects, and technical visionaries. Their outstanding accomplishments and passion for their craft have created a timeless legacy.”

The Queen of Rock and Roll is recognized for her many impressive contributions to the music industry.

Since beginning her music career in the 1950s, she’s sold over 50 million albums, won multiple Grammys and American Music Awards and is one of the most renowned live performers of the rock era.
