Students on campus are paying much closer attention to their surroundings. Many of them frustrated that someone was willing to literally rob the blind.

A suspected robber is now in custody a blind student ws robbed at Cleveland State University, Tuesday night.

Despite the amount of security cameras on campus, someone was still brazen enough to rob a legally blind student.

Today, students on campus are paying much closer attention to their surroundings. Many of them frustrated that someone was willing to literally rob the blind.

Emma Cairns, also legally blind, found out about the incident after receiving an alert on her phone.

“I don’t have any peripheral vision. So literally, if someone did that to me, I wouldn’t be able to defend myself,” said Cairns.

The robbery occurred near the entrance to the main classroom building near Euclid Avenue and East 22nd Street.

The entire event was caught on security cameras.
