Denzel Washington will receive another award for his stage work this spring.
The actor, about to make his Broadway return in George C. Wolfe’s production of The Iceman Cometh, will receive New Dramatists’ 2018 Distinguished Achievement Award at the group’s 69th Annual Spring Luncheon tribute on May 15 in New York.
The honor, presented to individuals who have made an outstanding artistic contribution to the theatre community, has previously gone to such stage artists as Audra McDonald, Bernadette Peters, Edward Albee, Meryl Streepand Stephen Sondheim, among others
