There have been some observational studies that showed red meat is associated with cardiovascular diseases–some even having cancer-causing agents. However, red meat, when raised and fed properly, has great benefits for our health.

Humans have digested red meat for centuries. Lamb, bison, veal–and cows being the most popular, it isn’t an uncommon food item. So it would be likely that years of digesting these herbivorous mammals have been inscribed into our food consumption line.
