Valerie Jarrett is taking part in the MSNBC Town Hall on Everyday Racism in America with Rev. Al Sharpton, Joy Reid and Chris Hayes. During the taping of the town hall, Jarrett gracefully responded to the derogatory Tweet Roseanne tweeted about the former Obama advisor.
“Tone does start at the top, and we like to look up to our President, and feel as though he reflects the value of our country.”
Jarrett shared with the panel that Disney’s chairman called her before announcing that ABC was canceling the show: “This should be a teaching moment.”
