Kurt Carr is definitely one of Gospel’s anointed ones. The super talented composer and performer has been on the scene since 1990 and has no signs of slowing up.
Kurt was born in Hartford, Connecticut and at the age of 13 he started signing and dancing at the Hartford Stage Company, where he was active in plays. He then became an active member of his church’s music department and the rest was history.
1987 while in Los Angeles, Carr formed a six-member gospel vocal ensemble called The Kurt Carr Singers
With over eight studio albums Kurt Carr & The Kurt Carr Singers have composed tracks with gospel legends like Yolanda Adams and Kirk Franklin.
They’ve also worked with secular artists including Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight.
