The LeBron James Family Foundation has teamed up with Kent State University to help students who are on track to be eligible for college scholarships when the first I PROMISE class graduates in 2021.

Kent State will provide specialized programming to help students remain on target to graduate from high school and to be fully eligible for the college scholarships that have been committed to them.

The university launches the partnership with its three-week Flash P’ACT summer program, which is described as an “on-campus, overnight collegiate immersion experience that will focus on rigorous ACT test preparation in math and reading, college readiness and personal development.”

As part of the program, the I PROMISE high school students will live on the university’s Kent campus from Monday through Friday, and will be “exposed to the university experience through attending college courses, nightly university-sanctioned recreation and wellness opportunities, daily meals in the university’s dining facilities, on-campus volunteering, and hands-on, community-engaged learning.
